The HVAC/R program prepares students for entry-level employment in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry. The program provides hands-on training in refrigeration principles; electrical systems; HVAC; and commercial air conditioning, furnaces, and hydronic systems, with an emphasis on safe work practices and industry standards.
Students learn to install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot residential and light commercial HVAC/R systems while developing foundational skills in electrical and control systems. The curriculum emphasizes compliance with refrigerant handling regulations, workplace safety, and professional readiness, including preparation for industry-recognized credentials such as EPA refrigerant handling certification, NATE fundamentals, and OSHA 10 safety.

Graduates of the program are prepared for entry-level technician roles and apprenticeships in HVAC/R service, installation, and maintenance.
